Fabric stores are not, I repeat, not my cup of tea. They are necessary however. I did find the button I needed. I would have been ever so happy if I could have found it at Wal-Mart. But Wal-Mart's button stock is sadly limited. At any rate, here I am waiting at the pattern book table. I know from personal experience the clothes in the book don't look the same when made at home. At least not my home. I'll stick to store bought clothes. That way if they don't look right when I put them on I can blame someone else.

Some movies are just not worth it
So you rent a movie because you have heard its a cult classic and is not to be missed. You blindly rent the movie and about 2 minutes in you want to go find the person who directed you to it and beat them up or something. You watch the thing because after all you paid three bucks for the rental. The whole time thinking "this is enough. I gotta turn this off." But you don't. At least now I can say I saw it and warn people away from it!

Days pass fast
Is there a rule about how often one should blog? Daily? Weekly? Multi-times per day? I really don't know the proper etiquite on this. I'm going to assume one should write when the feeling strikes unless I find ou different. Hope that will work. I don't always have anything to say and sometimes I just don't have time. And, afterall, I am a newby. I don't think anyone reads these but me. I'm not sure how that part works either. Wow, what did I get myself into?

9/11
I was at home getting ready for work. I was running a little later than usual. I tend to be at the office between 7 and 7:30 in the morning no matter how far I live from work. At that time I was living about 30 minutes from work. I almost always have Good Morning America keeping me company on one or two tvs while I get ready. I remember walking into the living room to see what was on and finding myself staring at a very tall building on fire. After discovering what was happening I immediately phoned Barb to tell her to turn on a tv or radio that a skyscraper was on fire in New York. I gave her the rest of the details as I knew them at the moment. While I watched a second plane hit the second building. It was unbelievable. I was in shock that such a thing could happen. As soon as I got to work we turned on the tv and tried to keep up as we worked that day. I think that no matter how far anyone lives from that city or this country, everyone was in some way affected by the event. I will always keep in mind that if I am not personally touched by a world altering event it is only by luck. We are all at risk as long as there is evil in the world. We should take comfort in the fact that we have each others back. This may not make since to you but it makes me feel better to write it and know that I am not alone.
Blogs in general
I've always wondered why people would want to blog. Guess I'm going to find out. And those are my first thoughts about this process.
